Welcome

Welcome To Our Houston, TX Funeral Home

Thank you for visiting our website. Our commitment to serve you better transcends our facility. We invite you to browse our website, and please feel comfortable enough to stop and submit a question or comment if you wish.

We strive to make our families and visitors feel comfortable while paying respects to their lost loved ones, and we make considerable efforts to maintain our focus on the high standards expected of a place of tribute.

Serving families since 1979, our funeral home in Houston holds itself to high quality and ethical standards. We can tend to your needs 24 hours a day. A staff of licensed directors, and facilities that include visitation rooms, a chapel, reception area, accommodating lobby, and selection/arrangement rooms, enable us to fully meet your needs. Families also rely on us to manage burial at Woodlawn or another cemetery in Houston of choice.

Houston Funeral Services at Woodlawn

We arrange for a type of service that meets your personal, religious, and budgetary needs while respecting and honoring the life of your loved one. Our services include:

Burial Service

Our directors will help plan the funeral every step of the way and provide advice whenever you need it. Finding a proper burial home is a key part of the pre-planning process. You’ll receive assistance in selecting a:

  • Cemetery
  • Place of burial
  • Casket
  • Burial vault
  • Headstone/marker
  • Message to inscribe

Speak to us about your wishes, and we’ll go over all the options. Our experienced staff will walk you through everything and estimate the funeral costs along the way. We manage every aspect of traditional funeral services, from planning to visitation, to the ceremony, to vehicle procession to the cemetery, to the funeral reception.

Cremation Services

Woodlawn offers cremation in Houston, TX, assisting with everything from authorization to transportation, to meeting the wishes of the family/decedent (including what clothing/items to include in the cremation casket). Cremation urns are available for those who prefer to keep a loved one’s remains or ashes. We offer traditional cremation services, which are much like a traditional funeral; memorial gatherings after cremation; and direct cremation with the completion of all paperwork and transportation.

Memorial Services

Whether you prefer a more traditional memorial service or something more contemporary, like a celebration-of-life, we can accommodate your needs. We can arrange for a location, such as our funeral home in Houston, or a church or community hall. Our staff can assist in selecting readings, music, and eulogies as well. From personal values to religious doctrines, to providing a service that combines aspects of a funeral with telling the story of the deceased, our staff is capable and flexible, always looking to ensure the process is unique and individual.

Specialty Funeral Services

We plan and implement veterans’ burial services. Our veteran services include completing necessary paperwork and obtaining a burial flag, a headstone/marker, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate. Our staff can arrange for burial service in a National or State Veterans Administration Cemetery as well.

For those who opt for cremation, we can arrange for placement in a local cemetery or for ash scattering. We’re familiar with local rules and regulations and the permissions, permits, and restrictions of scattering ashes, whether on land or at sea. The cremation cost is highly variable and depends on many factors. Memorialization services include personalized memorial stationery and online memorials to help preserve your loved one’s legacy and pay tribute to their memory.
