The service and attention Woodlawn gave our family during the grieving of our Mother was excellent. Their attention to detail made you feel like you were in a small town and they were old friends. They even followed up & checked on us a few weeks after the burial. Would definitely recommend their services.

The folks there do a pretty good job with funeral arrangements. I have attended several funerals there and knew several people who are buried at the cemetery, which is usually well kept and manicured.

Starting with the director he was awesome to work with our needs . Ours was quite different from a traditional funeral. My brother had already had his funeral arrangements made years prior. (I’m so very thankful it was) he was a quiet person and a private person his services were different we had to do a virtual through Facebook with my pastor. But it all turned out awesome. Starting with the music and the message. Thank you to all the staff..

We had a preplanned funeral for my mom. She passed away last month and everything went smoothly. Woodlawn was so accommodating and did what they said they were going to do. I cannot stress enough how they made the whole process as pleasant experience as one can have at the time of need.

My father is buried at Woodlawn and my mother recently passed away and was buried there as well. I was very impressed with the level of service, involvement and empathy I received. Steve is a great funeral director and our family was joyfully surprised at all the extras they provided to make the funeral a wonderful, memorable experience. Their compassion, kindness and loving outpour was so healing in a time of great sadness. They exceeded my expectations.

Woodlawn Funeral Home treated my family with respect. They surprised us at the graveside with a rug containing the picture of mother that was on her obituary along with background images of all her hobbies, which were many. I would highly recommend Woodlawn Funeral Home to care for your family as great as they did ours.

In this time of grief, the Woodlawn's funeral home personnel were there for all my needs in selecting all that I acquire for my husband burial. They treated me as one of their own family member. I recommend this funeral home and hopefully not in near future I will have my services here.

Woodlawn has such an amazing staff, Steve and his team have been very warm and caring throughout the process of losing our parents. Both times they have taken their time to help us in making decisions and guiding us to what best fits our needs. Other places I have visited has always felt cringy like a car dealership, but at Woodlawn, they were very empathetic to our situation. They have gone above and far beyond what they needed to, and continue to support us even after the burial. This should be one of your top considerations when looking for a well maintained cemetery with peaceful plots and great staff.

My father's passing at 101 years of age this June 2021 was one of the hardest and sadest experiences in my life, aside from losing my mother at her 92 years of age in 2004. We were very close and there is an emptiness that will never be filled especially now that both of them are gone. On top of all of those feelings of loss and sadness, my brothers and I had to make our dads funeral arrangements of course which are also awful to experience. With that said, I would like to express to anyone who is going through this that Steve and the other staff members at Woodlawn Cemetery helped us through this terrible experience. They were so compassionate and caring. Not the fake kind either. Steve didn’t pressure us or try to guilt us into purchasing unnecessary things in our grief. He actually and genuinely helped us with awesome, caring advice. His kindness and patience was endless as we asked many questions. He made us feel comforted and secure in our decisions which were not easy to make. He also recommended Deacon Dan to speak at our dads funeral who was also amazing. We would highly recommend Steve and his staff at Woodlawn Cemetery when you need help with this type of situation. It’s terrible to go through but at least with them they genuinely help you. The grounds are also beautiful and peaceful. I pray for peace and love for anyone who is going through the death of a loved one.

Eric and his staff were very kind and heartfelt with my mom's passing. Eric kept me informed of all the documents that needed to be organized before we went to Wisconsin for the burial. Very efficient.

In 2019 I lost my Mother and Sister within 9 days of each other. I was so distraught over their passing and couldn’t hardly focus on planning their funeral. When I contacted Woodlawn Funeral Home they were extremely helpful and caring through such a difficult time. I lived in another state but had grown up in TX so it meant a lot to me to get such support and coordination during this emotional time of loss. Then in 2020 I lost my Father to Covid19. I was the sole survivor of my family now. So I turned again to Woodlawn. I was so devastated by the loss of my Father only a little over a year later since I lost my Mother and Sister but Cora helped me every step of the way to plan a beautiful funeral at the Houston National Cemetary this time since he had been a Vietnam Veteran pilot. She was able to coordinate services for me to have a Pastor to oversee the ceremony and offer prayer plus coordinate the VFW perform the gun salute and US flag folding and presentation. It was a lovely ceremony. Thank you with all of my heart.

We used Woodlawn to handle my mom's funeral. No one looks forward to making arrangements for a loved one. At Woodlawn, they were very compassionate and professional. The director that handled the arrangements for us was Art Espino. Art is very personable, and you will feel at ease speaking with him. He is very patient and a good listener. He walked me through the process. He laid out all options, and offered his experienced opinion, when I was at a crossroads, to help guide me to exactly the type of services and products we wanted for our loved one. One thing I noticed is that Art pays particular attention to detail. We were very pleased with the services provided. I would highly recommend Woodlawn. Special thanks to Art Espino for making this happen so smoothly. Great job!

I've always known that Woodlawn is an exceptional Funeral Home through friends and word of mouth. I really needed their professionalism and compassion, not to mention guidance. Eric really listened, was very patient and made sure everything was as I wanted for my mother. I was very pleased, if you can say that in these situations. Thank you Eric and everyone at Woodlawn.

I was devastated to lose my only child at any early age. I dreaded having to make arrangements and prepare for the funeral services. The Woodlawn team from front desk to administration helped me through the process. They have even checked on me over the past few months. My family will continue to use and recommend Woodlawn for these reasons.

The staff at Woodlawn went over and above on the planning for the service for my Mom, Betty Sweeney. Steve was so kind and patient with my sister and I while we were trying to decide on plans for our Mom. They had the utmost respect for how my Mom was prepared for burial. They accommodated all our wishes. We were treated like we were part of their family. Steve and other staff members made this terrible moment in our lives a little easier to bear. Thank you all.

Eric and his staff were very professional and caring when my mother passed away. They handled her with care when they picked her up from our home. The process of setting up arrangements was very straight forward. We brought my mother's jewelery to be placed on her the day of the viewing and Eric was very gentle. Overall, I was very impressed with the whole experience and have not one complaint.

In a sad and difficult time, it was clear Woodlawn's goal was to meet the needs of our family and they did. In fact, they went far beyond the necessary. Each person I interacted with was kind, helpful, and considerate. The flowers were absolutely stunning and the care for every detail was exceptional. We will always be grateful to them. I only wish it were possible to give more stars. Thank you.

The staff at Woodlawn Funeral Home was professional, courteous and caring following the passing of my mother. I had made the arrangements with them several years ago and was glad I did so that I didn’t have to make a lot of decisions during my time of grief. It was important to me to use a privately owned funeral home instead of one of the large conglomerates. I am glad I selected Woodlawn. Their personal and compassionate care of my family during our time of loss was very much appreciated.
